We've Moved!

As I posted several weeks back, we had our house up for sale because we are building a new house "out in the country" on some land we purchased from Joel's parents.  We have since sold our house and so we have moved!

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind, but we are finally settled into our "new" temporary home while we wait for our other house to be built.  My mom and step-dad were gracious enough to allow us to rent their home while it is for sale since they moved to Arizona last fall.  We are so very grateful to have such a beautiful and spacious home to stay in while we are building our home.

However, the Lord is teaching me a huge lesson in faith and trust right now.  Since my mother's home is on the market, it is very possible that it will sell before our house is complete.  So we are just trusting in the Lord's perfect timing for everyone involved.  He knows that we need a place to live, yet He also knows that my mom needs her house to sell, so we are just trusting in His perfect plan.  No matter what happens I know that He will provide!  He's never let us down yet :-)  This particular verse keeps coming to my mind:

"I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread..." 

(Psalm 37:25)

I don't think it is at all a coincidence that these verses are in the same chapter:

³ Trust in the LORD and do good;
   dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
⁴ Take delight in the LORD,
   and he will give you the desires of your heart.

⁵ Commit your way to the LORD;
   trust in him and he will do this:
⁶ He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
   your vindication like the noonday sun.

 ⁷ Be still before the LORD
   and wait patiently for him; 

(Psalm 37:3-7)

So for now I am thanking the Lord for His goodness and provision, and trusting that no matter what comes our way that He will provide for us!
